Job Description Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Holly Terrace Supervisor, incumbent is responsible for creating an enjoyable dining experience for Broadmeads' residents and their guests. Essential Duties: Ensures the dining room experience is a pleasant and enjoyable one through cheerful behavior and by properly following established procedures for American Style of service Ensures resident and guest safety by understanding food intolerances, allergies, and special needs Follows established American Style of service while serving in the Holly Terrace Communicates effectively with all residents and guests Speaks clearly and professionally Able to recite all ingredients in food products to residents or guests Able to serve six or more station configurations Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to change Follows all safety and sanitation rules and regulations Responsible for clearing all dishes and bussing Resets tables Maintains a clean and neat appearance Responsible for on/call days to report to Host/Hostess Performs additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Basic knowledge of American Style Service, sanitation and safety procedures Basic knowledge of buffet service Possess the ability to follow instructions, work well with other and maintain a good rapport with the residents and their guests Must understand proper plate presentation Must be able to distinguish portion sizes and differentiate between rare, medium, and well done Must possess effective communication skills Able to carry trays with weights up to ten (10) pounds Ability to bend, handle hot plates, and work for a minimum of two hours standing Problem Solving: Has the latitude to deal with most problems Refers unusual problems to the supervisor Company Description Mission Statement Broadmead mission is to foster independence, growth, and the opportunities in elderhood by supporting a dynamic community, providing exceptional health services, developing collaborative relationships, and upholding Quaker values.
