Job Description Lead Facility Engineer Experience: Ten (10) years diversified experience including at least five years in military construction planning and programming. Management experience for more than 100-person military or civilian counterpart unit/activity. Education : Bachelor's degree in Civil, Facility, or Mechanical Engineering or an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited university. Security Clearance: Top Secret w/ SSBI and be indoctrinated for SCI Knowledge and Skills: Specialized experience, including familiarity with the Army Programming, Administration, and Execution (PAX) system. Strong organizational skills. Duties: Under the general supervision Project manager or designee, the individual: will provide facility planning and installation planning support relating to contract supported units at worldwide locations and work with other Government and contractor engineers to perform the Facility Planning Program tasking. will investigate and determine facility requirements relating to unit relocations, realignment, transfer, and equipment de- installation/installation, and determine the most efficient use of available facilities for operation of mission system/equipment. will provide the cost estimates and programming data in support of such moves, and assist with preparation of documentation required by AR 5-10. will provide technical advice and guidance to Government engineers and military construction programmers in investigating infrastructure, facility space and utility system shortfalls, and structural requirements, and in coordinating the work of other engineering disciplines to produce the required functional outcome. will review the Government-furnished reports, studies, master plans, and facility requests to identify deficiencies and provide comments in the planning and programming of construction, renovation, repair, and redesign efforts by the Government. will directly interface with clients/customers, and translates user functional requirements into facility requirements/ characteristics. will perform in accordance with the prime contract which will be provided to the individual upon arrival.
