Plumbing- Commercial Service Supervisor & Estimator
Job Description Plumbing- Service Supervisor & Estimator Seeking a Service Supervisor/Estimator for plumbing projects in the Washington-Baltimore Corridor. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated individual seeking an opportunity to grow within a dynamic, progressive, and innovative organization. An extensive plumbing knowledge is required along with project management, and estimating experience. The Service Supervisor/Estimator should be recognized as a team-player, results-oriented with excellent troubleshooting skills, the ability to effectively resolve issues while providing an exceptional level of customer service. Experience supervising and estimating HVAC systems is also highly desirable. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot hot water, sewer and gas plumbing systems, assess defects to determine appropriate repairs needed Estimate costs, prepare proposals, contact vendors, subcontractors to assure adequate pricing for the projects and present options to customers Maintain communication with customer throughout the repair process Manage crews performing repairs and installations Create work details and procedures using blueprints, building codes and specifications Keep records of assignments and produce detailed work reports Study building plans, inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs, establishing the sequences of pipe installations Participate in the on-call service dispatch Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have a comprehensive technical and operational knowledge of plumbing systems in commercial properties such as; high rise office/multi-family buildings and restaurants Familiar with hydronic heating and cooling systems; including, fan coil units, circulator pumps and isolation valves Experience directing others to fabricate and install copper, PVC, cast iron piping systems Able to locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, fixtures in structures Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Maintain a safe and orderly work area Must be able to read drawings, blueprints, and CAD drawings Must have proficient computer skills Excellent verbal & written communication skills Qualifications, Education & Experience: 10+ years of commercial plumbing experience Should possess Journeyman's or Master's license in local jurisdiction OSHA 10-hour training Must have technical plumbing skills and knowledge of general commercial buildings A professional attitude, appearance and a commitment to providing an exceptional level of customer service Strong commitment to and understanding of company's vision and mission Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record Pass required company Drug Screen and Background Requirements Must have a strong track record of stable employment Company Description Looking for a new job?
