Senior SCCM Engineer
Job Description Seeking a SCCM Engineer to lead administration, packaging, and deployment of updates and patches to desktops and servers: We are seeking a Senior SCCM Engineer to join our team to support our federal client in Maryland close to the DC metro area. The selected individual will be pro-active in solving problems and recommending best practices to administer, manage, package and deploy software upgrades, patches for servers and laptops. The environment supports approximately 3500 laptops which may vary in type and brand. Must be able to script packages to assure the deployed package recognizes various computer environments enabling one packaging deployment to successfully install in different PCs/Servers. Must be able to Create MSI, MST and MSP using InstallShield Experience with App-V packaging and implementation of VDI systems VmWare Creating script to create silent installs and perform various OS operations Utilizing PowerShell commands to accomplish the required task (single file installation/Removal of applications) Creating custom utilities to automate various task on scheduled time Packaging software, certification, and deployment using SCCM ConfigMgr 2012 Generate SCCM Config 2012 patch and application deployment report Qualifications: App-V 5.1 - Candidates must have strong experience with App-V including App-V 5.1. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to utilize Dynamic Configuration files for Deployment Configuration and User Configuration tasks. SCCM 2012 R2 - Candidates must have a good working knowledge of the SCCM Application model and deployment methodology. Candidates must understand concepts such as Supersedence, Chaining, Dependencies, and Detection Methods. Active Directory Users and Computes Management Console - Candidates must be familiar the management console and should have experience creating and managing software deployment groups. VMware vSphere Client - Candidates must be familiar with the console and utilizing it to create and manage virtual machines used for testing and development of packages. PowerShell v4+ - Strong scripting skills a must, candidates must be able to develop their own custom PowerShell scripts to solve administrative tasks and challenges and demonstrate adherence to community standards and best practices for Powershell scripting. WMI - Working knowledge of Windows Management Instrumentation and how to leverage it in PowerShell to solve administration and configuration tasks. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) - Candidates must be able to work with other team members and customer to coordinate and manage UAT for packages. Strong communication and conflict resolutions skills required. Project Documentation - Candidates must be able to produce clear and concise documentation for all work efforts related to the development of packages.
