Company Description ThreatConnect Inc is the leading provider of advanced threat intelligence products and services including ThreatConnect the most comprehensive Threat Intelligence Platform TIP on the market ThreatConnect delivers a single platform in the cloud and on premises to effectively aggregate analyze and act to counter sophisticated cyber attacks Leveraging advanced analytics capabilities ThreatConnect offers a superior understanding of relevant cyber threats to business operations To register for a free ThreatConnect account or to learn more about our products and services visit www threatconnect com Job Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Engineer that can hit the ground running in a fast paced and quickly growing environment ThreatConnect SEs provide pre sales support and guidance to customers and collaborate with Area Directors to recommend and develop appropriate customer platform offerings The SE is a trusted advisor and is looked to as an expert in implementing ThreatConnects Intelligence Platform and Security Orchestration products SE Roles and Responsibilities Provide pre sales assistance for sales opportunities to customers Build deploy configure and troubleshoot ThreatConnect instances and required integrations as part of the customer evaluation process Develop customer use cases and lead white board discussions in face to face settings with Security teams involving ThreatConnects Threat Intelligence Platform and Orchestration products Educate customers on the technical capabilities features of the platform and research customer specific requirements to ensure alignment Educate the customer on Threat Analysis best practices and methodology leveraging ThreatConnect Research Respond to requests for proposal and information in both oral and written formats RFQs RFIs etc Act as an interface between the Sales organization and technical staff to resolve technical issues related to evaluations and or customer requirements Provide feedback on opportunities and field activities to Sales Product Management and Engineering Develop playbooks leveraging ThreatConnects orchestration capability Qualifications Candidate must reside in the DC Metro or Northern Virginia Southern Maryland region Bachelor or Masters Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related discipline OR equivalent experience with years pre sales experience in the computer security industry Strong working knowledge of Linux administration configuration networking Be able to configure and troubleshoot Linux Java and Python application environments Development or scripting in shell JavaScript or Python is a big plus Experience in working with VMs building maintaining managing proof of concepts Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences including being able to interact with senior executives Exceptional written communication This role requires an ability to understand and articulate both the business benefits value proposition and technical advantages of ThreatConnect products and solutions Some overnight travel throughout the region is required Federal Government clearances are a plus Additional Information ThreatConnect offers a positive collaborative culture comprehensive fully paid benefits and unique incentives and perks that encourage you to become an integral part of our success All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines
