Job Description: (Scrum Master) Business Systems Analyst, Principal Clearance: Must be obtainable to TOP SECRET/SCI CLEARANCE WITH FAVORABLE POLYGRAPH. Work Location: Herndon & Chantilly, VA areas Project Summary: The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced, exciting office that develops, implements, and maintains mission critical information systems to the intelligence community. The 100+ person contract is organized into approximately 25 projects. This position will be as the Project Manager for one of the smaller projects or as Deputy Project Manager for a larger project (depending on candidates skills and experience). POSITION SUMMARY: As a recognized authority, provides expertise in the formulation of systems scope and objectives relative to the organization's business plan and industry requirements. Position Description: CACI is looking for an experienced Agile Scrum Master with both strong Agile Scrum delivery skills and project facilitation experience to work on a challenging program in Reston, VA. CACI supports the program across a broad range of systems and software technologies using CACIs Agile Scrum methodology. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of Agile Software Development practices and experience delivering deployable software in short sprints. In this role, they will interface with client personnel and use oral and written communications skills to develop great working relationships with stakeholders. This position is responsible for ensuring that all assigned work activities are performed in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining the highest quality of performance. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse team is also crucial. A willingness to learn and stay abreast of industry trends is also required. The program emphasizes innovation, and CACI looks for individuals who can bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technical and procedural. Functional Responsibility: Serves as the contractor's authorized project interface with project stakeholders, including, government personnel, and customer agency representatives. Responsible for facilitating delivery of customer-defined software development projects; basic RESPONSIBILITIES include: Acting as Scrum Master for 1 or 2 scrum teams with a focus on guiding the teams toward improving the way they work; Facilitating sprint planning, retrospective and demos. Acting as product manager and assisting the product owner and business analyst with managing the product backlog Removing all obstacles to project team efficiency and effectiveness; reaching out to the larger organizational network for impediment removal; ensuring cross-team coordination. Maintaining relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing. Coaching and mentoring other Scrum Masters on our program team. Partnering to ensure that our ways of working are consistent across teams. Liaising between developers and project stakeholders; fostering quality communication between engineering disciplines. Acting as a Scrum Master, taking responsibility for managing product releases and dependencies between teams and third parties or between assigned teams and other Scrum teams. Managing and tracking project finances. Support development of product roadmaps Strengthening the presence of the team as an Agile centre of excellence. Actively contributing to the organization Agile Community. Analyzing new and complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solution components. Ensuring appropriate staffing for assigned projects or tasks; developing personnel. Providing appropriate oversight to engineers, analysts, and support personnel. Scheduling and allocating work, providing advice and guidance, and resolving problems to meet technical performance and financial objectives. Developing new and refining existing process to enhance quality and productivity. Reviewing and evaluating work of staff and preparing periodic performance reports. Ensuring product quality and timeliness of efforts. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelors degree or equivalent, and 10-12 years of related experience. Must be a US Citizen, with successfully obtain a Top Secret/SCI with favorable polygraph. College degree (BS; MS) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Certified Scrum Master/Scrum Practitioner with significant experience with Scrum teams and use of continuous integration tools and techniques in test-driven development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong software development background, with a minimum of three (3) solid years experience facilitating incremental software development projects using an Agile Scrum approach. Understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong communication skills and work ethic; self-starter Professional Experience: 12+ years related technical experience Desired: Experience with at least two of: C#/.Net, IBM Mainframe/COBOL, Quality Suite, Oracle, VMware, information exchanges, data warehouse, client server. Experience with test automation techniques and tools Experience with building in software security (BSIMM, security touchpoints) Experience with continuous deployment models Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Experience working on unusually complicated problems and providing solutions that are highly creative and ingenious, exhibiting ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness. Acts independently to expose and resolve problems. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
