Job Description: Company Name: Bit Systems Summary: We are looking for a self-motivated Field Service Manager (FSM) to support Counter-Radio-Controlled Model Aircraft (C-RCMA) systems. The goal is to maximize customer commitment and the prosperity of business by producing results in a timely manner. This individual would be responsible for supporting CONUS and OCONUS installations, lead troubleshooting efforts, and assist with system demonstrations. Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate efficiently to conclude: all on-site installation, repair, maintenance and demo activities (Travel associated with these activities could be up to 50%) Support system demos for new customers Perform troubleshooting and strive to resolve issues Produce detailed service reports Communicate effectively with colleagues and pass on important system-level information Discern customer needs and offer advice or recommendations Formulate relationships of trust with customers Troubleshoot with customers over the phone and be willing to support 24/7 with additional compensation EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelors degree or equivalent, and ten to twelve years of related experience. Required Qualifications: Proven experience as a field service representative Ability to manage and preserve technical equipment Ability to easily acclimate to modified schedules Accustomed to using RF troubleshooting equipment Excellent communication skills Basic Linux knowledge Technical degree or certification Desired Qualifications: Experience with hardware/RF/electrical paths Ability to follow troubleshooting steps and communicate the results effectively Climbing certified PHYSICAL DEMANDS: PHYSICAL DEMANDS may vary depending on the work location. Ability to stand; walk; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. May need to meet manufacturer's weight requirements for all equipment used. Required to sit at times; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.
