As a member of Santander's retail banking division you'll help serve Santander's retail and small business customers as part of one of the top banks in the United States based on deposits. With principal presence in the northeast US, Santander's retail division offers consumer and lending products to help our customers reach their financial goals. Santander currently serves nearly 2 million retail customers and 5.2 of the 2.7 million small businesses in the US footprint have a transactional account with Santander Bank. Responsibilities: Manages the delivery of customer first service excellenceResponsible for the administration of sales, service, operational efficiency, risk applications, internal control and Human Resources management activities to meet bank objectives for the branchDevelops a culture within the branch in which quality and continuous improvement on all performance accountabilities are understood and utilized by all employeesEnsures the team is focused on the acquisition of new business and personal relationships and the retention and expansion of existing relationshipsReports to the Retail District ExecutiveAnalyzes branch expenses and implements strategies to reduce overheadDirects the development, implementation and use of productive sales strategies and techniques, generating additional bank business through any mean or channel provided by the BankFocuses on increasing Bank products and services, sales, number of clients, its business relation with the bank and always following the established policy and proceduresFormulates and executes a customized team plan to acquire new, retain and grow existing SME and personal relationshipsManages, coaches, directs and motivates every branch team member to promote and maximize sales opportunitiesTakes responsibility for delivering Customer First Service Excellence which meets and exceeds the customers' expectationsOn the SME side and along with the BBR, focuses on companies with revenues less than $3.0 Million, performing significant calling activity on existing SME customers, prospects and Centers of Influence, to develop new business and to retainParticipates in branch functions and community activities to promote bank's image and growth ensuring that the Bank maintains a strong local presence Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of sales management in banking or financial services environment or 7 years of experience in retail sales managementGraduation from a nationally recognized sales management trainee program Proven capacity to manage a sales process within an incentive based environmentLeadership skills and demonstrated experience mentoring and developing a teamAt Least 7 Years Specialized Knowledge Ability to manage, supervise, instruct and coachAdvanced knowledge of all Retail and Small business products and services and fluency in business acumen and in SME creditUnderstands all appropriate policies and procedures and process that impact work activities.
