Refer Save Apply Job ID: MMK-57754 Description: Director - Annapolis OB Job Description The Practice Director has full responsibility and accountability for: The overall operation, financial and administrative performance of the assigned division of Women's Services physician practices; Operational improvement, effectiveness, efficiency, productivity and superior patient experience; Selection, mentoring, education, development, and performance or practice/AAMC employees; Leading cross practice projects and coordination with other practice managers/supervisors; Communication and cooperation with AAMC stakeholders relevant to the physician practices; Contribution to the strategic decision making applicable to the physician practices, and establish and maintain a healthy and productive collaboration and support of the Physician Enterprise C hairperson. The Practice Director must establish and maintain a working relationship with and trust of the physician(s) and keep the physicians and stakeholders fully informed of the issues which affect the practice. The Practice Director is responsible for developing and maintaining effective working relationships and communicating with other AAMC functions such as but not linited to the Central Business Office, Information Support, training, AAMC Human Resources, and AAMC Risk Management. Meets at regular intervals with Practice Managers and Supervisors to discuss practice operations, performance improvement initiatives and financial performance. Leads in the development of an annual operating budget for each practice, and the Women's Services division as a whole. Ability to present and coordinate the budget with the Physician Enterprise Chair Person. Monitors the day to day activities across the division and assures that appropriate policies and procedures are in place for efficient and effective operations. Meets regularly with the physicians and practice managers to discuss operational issues. Communicates financial and billing information with providers on a regular basis. Maintains regular contact with the Executive Director regarding important issues. Collects and manipulates data to gain insight and depth of understanding of operations, finance, trends, comparisions and educate physicians and others. Required: Bachelors degree or equivalent in business administration, health administration, finance or related field, and three or more years of experience in private physician office management, or ten or more years of experience managing a private multi-physician office. Proficient in the use of spreadsheet software and database systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Superior physician relationship skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting demands. High motivation and achievement orientation. Strong leadership and aptitude to attract and motivate strong management.
