Project Manager - Aviation
The Project Manager manages the construction of an Aviation Project and the project team to ensure success. Assigned Responsibilities Manage and guide a team of Project Engineers, Superintendents, and Administrative Assistants Produce and maintain project schedules Coordinate subcontractors and field labor Manage material procurement and delivery Represent the company and act as first point of contact for the owner Understand details of project scope of work Maintain and report on project costs Document and negotiate changes that may affect project completion or contract costs with subcontractors and owners Develop field quality assurance and quality control plan with Superintendent Collaborate project safety plan with Superintendent(s) Responsible for managing MBE/WBE subcontracting requirements Responsible for EEO/Affirmative action contract requirements Other duties as assigned Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to manage project and personnel simultaneously. Knowledge of construction, design, cost reporting and cash flow management. Computer skills, knowledge of Project Management, Scheduling, good communication and organizational skills are necessary. Knowledge and ability to implement BIM technologies into project Strong management skills Experience successfully managing business and technical resources on an integrated project plan to best utilize all resources Success in working with a project team to find effective solutions in a timely manner as to not impact project deadlines Education and Training BS in Construction Management or Engineering 10 years of construction experience working for a general contractor Minimum 5 years' experience as a project manager on aviation projects -terminal construction inclusive but not limited to the following: hold room construction/renovations, (BHS) Baggage Handling systems, Jet Bridge installations, HVAC and MEP, fueling systems, aprons and flight information display systems.
