The Recruiting Specialist works as a full-time employee of Zeiders Enterprises (Zeiders) at the corporate headquarters in Woodbridge, VA. The Specialist recruits, researches, interviews, screens, and refers job candidates for job openings by performing a wide variety of functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Confers with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills; Writes job descriptions or reviews and edits job descriptions written by others. Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates; Utilizes Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates; Writes and places job advertising in various media with coordination of Recruitment Specialist; and Reduces time to fill positions throughout the organization to find top talent in the organization. Initiates contact with qualified candidates for specific job openings; Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position; Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in organization; Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants; and Coordinates communications with applicants. Oversees and participates in reference and background checks on applicants. Develops and maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants; Coordinates participation in, sets up display, and works at job fairs; and Makes public presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs regarding the organization and opportunities. Education and/or Experience Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in HR or related field coupled with +2 years recruiting experience; OR 4+ years recruiting experience. A PHR, AIRS, DDI or NAPS Certificate is strongly preferred. Microsoft office experience; specifically with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A knowledge of OFCCP compliance and laws surrounding employment. Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.
