Director, Law Annual Fund - Office of Advancement

The Director, Law Annual Fund, is responsible for developing and implementing a plan to secure current-use gifts for the Law Center, which is approximately $5M/year.  S/he identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards the $1,000+ donors to the Law Annual Fund; serves as a point person for the 25th Reunion Fund Committee; and works closely with the Associate and Assistant Directors on the Law Annual Giving team to formulate and execute strategies for the Law Firm Challenge, Reunion, Graduating Class Gift program, telemarketing, email, direct mail, and digital campaigns.  The Director is also the point person in developing and executing strategies for Law Center fundraising initiatives that have a current use component, as well as other initiatives on an as needed basis.  Reporting to the Advancement's Assistant Vice President of Annual Giving, with dotted line reporting to the Law Center's Associate Dean of Development, the Director has duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Develops and implements plan to raise annual, current-use support for the Georgetown University Law Center.
  • Performs market analysis and program evaluation to develop long and short term goals.
  • Supervises, trains, and handles all personnel issues for 3 full time employees and part time students. 
  • Manages and adheres to annual operating budget. 
  • Oversees the progress of the Law Center's gift club program.


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 to 7 years in a professional office environment, with at least 4 years of special emphasis on fundraising, direct marketing, communications, and volunteer management; or commensurate skills and experience
