Culinary Star Executive Chef wanted for Country Inn in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. L'Auberge Provencale is looking for a working executive chef with a passion for food to be a team leader in a country inn setting. Inn is located 1 and 1/2 hours from Washington DC, in the Shenandoah Valley. We have maintained a top rating in Zagat, 4 diamond and 3 1/2 stars in the Washingtonian Magazine. Looking for a chef with modern techniques, sous vide experience, molecular skills who wants to utilize the fresh and best of the season to create flavor driven food, with emphasis on farm to table. We have our own gardens and orchards and support sustainable farming whenever possible. Modern plating techniques. The chef will have creative freedom and must have the ability to be a team leader. Dinner service 6 days, working toward a five day shift but all facets of food service at the inn is your responsibility. As an executive chef you will create breakfast menus, seasonal menus and tasting menu and a room service menu. Energetic, forward thinking and experienced in top restaurants a must. High end restaurant experience preferred. Must be a culinary graduate or have comparable experience. Relais, Michelin experience would be a plus. We have a state of the art kitchen that has been newly renovated, perfect for creating new and inventive dishes. We place a lot of emphasis on culinary stars that are team motivated and passionate about cooking. We want candidates that are motivated to provide the best in hospitality and fine dining. We need a chef who is able to train our team so we can have the best experience for our patrons and customers. Our goal at the inn is to remain in the top restaurants of the greater Washington area. We are looking for a long-term team player with a pleasant, dedicated, positive approach to the job. The executive chef should have knowledge of all modern as well as classic cooking and have a passion for striving to be cutting edge and inventive. The inn is located in a rural environment close to the town of Winchester, around 65,000. Good schools and country living with a lower cost of living is available in our area.
