We are seeking an individual with proven skills to serve as a Corporate Accountant for an entrepreneurial multifamily real estate development and investment firm. Responsibilities will include: Maintain general ledgers for corporate entities Record cash receipts Reconcile balance sheet accounts Review invoices in Nexus to ensure appropriate coding and approvals Process accruals, complex bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations Assist with month end close Prepare financial statements and consolidated financial statements Assist with investors distributions Assist with personal property tax returns, year-end audits, K-1s and tax returns preparation Assist property managers and staff with questions Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting required 3 - 5 years of accounting experience in the Real Estate industry Experience with MRI or other ERP system required Proficiency with Word and Excel Knowledge of Nexus a plus Solid understanding of debits, credits, general ledgers, and charts of accounts Ability to identify and solve problems Organized and proactive. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet internal and external deadlines Professional interaction with outside vendors tax accountants, auditors, and external financial accountants Effective communication skills We are seeking highly motivated, career oriented, individuals who function well in a team environment.
