Supervises the activities of assigned computer operations personnel. 1. Supervises the activities and staff involved in operating a computer operations section or shift. 2. Coordinates and supervises activities such as equipment scheduling, production control, data libraries, teleprocessing, and similar operations. 3. Prepares work schedules, controls work flows, and provides technical guidance, training, and operational assistance to computer operations staff. 4. Assigns staff to insure optimum effectiveness and monitors performance. 5. Monitors data security and integrity procedures. 6. Maintains operating records such as machine performance and production reports. 7. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. 8. Participates in special projects as required. Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. Qualifications 5-8 years of related computer operations experience, including supervisory experience.
