GDIT is looking for a candidate to support the Security Force Assistance (SFA) Proponent Office in meeting its regulatory requirement as the force modernization proponent specified in AR 5-22 and detailed in DoDI 3000.11 and DoDI 5160.70. Our candidate will directly support the development of SFA Doctrine and associated training support. Direct responsibilities for the SFA Proponent Doctrine developer include the supervision of personnel whose duties include, but are not limited to the following:

 (1) Ensure SFA preparation efforts keep pace with changes in the global operating environment and that SFA education and training prepares commanders and staff, operational forces, and individual personnel for SFA across the range of military operations.


(2) Support the development of joint SFA-related doctrine tactics, techniques, and procedures and other guidance necessary to address the requirements of Combatant Commanders.


(3) Execute force management responsibilities (requirements definition, force development, combat developments, doctrine developments, training developments, material developments, leader development, personnel development, and facilities development) relative to DOTMLPF-P for their particular function and branches.


(4) Ensure SFA is integrated into all doctrinal publications and in all branches.


5) Serve as the Army lead for Service reviews of Joint and other service SFA doctrinal publications.                                                                                                                                                         



Education Bachelors Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

Qualifications Requires 5-8 years of experience.


The Doctrine Developer must have the requisite qualifications to ensure SFA doctrinal products effectively communicate procedures and techniques to the field, incorporate existing Army doctrinal fundamentals, and are formatted and edited in accordance with guidance and policy in coordination with the Combined Arms Doctrine Directorate (CADD).


(1) A minimum of two years’ experience in writing service doctrine, lessons learned, or official history.


(2) Completion of CADD Doctrine Author’s course or equivalent sister service.


(3) Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college program.


(4) Active Secret Security Clearance
