General Dynamics IT has an opening for a Remedy Tester/Trainer with strong communication and technical skills that will support the Department of Commerce 2020 Decennial Census Systems of Systems hybrid cloud infrastructure and its applications. The BMC Remedy operation admin/tester/trainer will be responsible for the day to day operation of the TI Decennial - BMC Remedy ITSM v9 application from deployment through its lifecycle (from now until 2021) and ensure that all environments (Dev/UAT/Prod) are always available & functioning properly.

 

Specific roles & responsibilities for the position include but not limited to the following:

    Will be the owner of the BMC Remedy ITSM application and is mainly responsible for the production support of the day-to-day operational activities including, users' accounts, Atrium CMDB admin, back-up/restore and other operational activitiesMay participate, when needed, in testing the BMC Remedy ITSM applications developed for the Census 2020 by the development teamWill be expected to assist in the BMC training activities related to process implementation plans and will produce & maintain up-to-date training material (documents, presentations, videos, CBT).  
 Required Skills:

    8 to 10 years of technical experience providing internal/external consulting services5 years of IT Service Management experience6+ years hands-on experience administrating BMC Remedy with ITSM SuiteDocumented ITIL v2 or ITIL v3 foundation (or higher) certification Practical knowledge of IT service management and ITIL best practicesAbility to advise the customer across multiple ITSM solutions, approach and productsApplicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation (Public Trust) and must meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive informationStrong familiarity with National Institute of Technology (NIST) Information DocumentsOrganizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work, both their own and that of project team. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Education  

 

    10+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
