Principal Analyst, Operations
Provides military subject matter expertise to Army University. Conduct quality control analysis of Operational and Institutional training products to include primarily Individual Tasks and Lesson Plans, but not to exclude Course Administrative Date (CAD), training support packages (TSP), individual training plans (ITPs) and programs of instruction (POI). Individual will conduct in-depth analysis of products submitted by Army proponents according to current regulation and implementing pamphlets with focus of analysis to ensure lesson plans comply with appropriate Army and TRADOC Regulations and Pamphlets for standardization purposes ensuring products are grammatically correct, clear, and concise and error free. Incumbent will use knowledge of task development process to review Operational and Institutional products translating training development policy into practical applications for Training Development Capability (TDC) software procedures. Above average proficiency with Microsoft office products or other basic database design and document storage expertise.Provides military subject matter expertise to assigned programs. 1. Provides advanced analytical and technical support to projects involving training, tactical/operational documentation, military systems design or other efforts requiring military operations expertise. 2. Researches, identifies, and makes recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion. 3. Gathers, processes, and analyzes operational data. 4. Assists with the testing and development of new systems or updates to existing systems to meet client needs. 5. Identifies and recommends emergent relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes. 6. Writes and updates project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials. 7. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff, and may have supervisory responsibilities. 8. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas. 9. Participates in special projects as required. Education Bachelors Degree in a related technical or military discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience.Graduate of the U.S. Army CGSC or an equivalent MEL- 4 producing school or graduate of the US Army Sergeants Major Academy or an equivalent US service school; Qualifications 8-10 years of related experience supporting military operations. Knowledge and experience in US Army operations at the operational and tactical level as an NCO/Officer at battalion, brigade, division, or Corp level. . Experience in delivering classroom instruction and knowledge of Army Training and Leader Development. . Must possess excellent organizational, planning and time management skills along with reviewing products that are grammatically correct, clear, and concise and error free. . Experience in curriculum development or educational assessment . Reviews and evaluates automated system error reports in order to develop graphic presentations which provide constructive feedback for improvement to the appropriate source.
