The Oracle / SQL Database Administrator will serve as part of a Project Execution Team. The candidate will work with project managers and customers to determine technical requirements. Position Description Summary: 

    Created and configured Oracle advance security and policies using Oracle Cloud Control Enterprise Manager. Installed and Configured Grid Control, Multitenant and Pluggable database Cluster database. Assess and evaluate existing Oracle environments for documenting and recommending Life Cycle Replacement options.Researched and configured the OracleAS Cluster Identity Management infrastructure in a High availability environment (Public Key Infrastructure, Web Cache and HTTP server in Fusion Middleware (Application Server, Access Manager, Identity Manager, Federation, Virtual Directory).Installed cluster RAC database and Grid Control.Applied CPU patches on Oracle Container and Pluggable database Cluster environments.Provided technical domain expertise and leadership required to effectively deliver high quality, timely solutions and services that meet business needs with a focus on the line of business.Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products.Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.Implement and maintain database security.Proactively monitor database performance and generate suggestions for preventative maintenance and continuous improvements.Setup and maintain documentation and standards.Provide technical trouble shooting and offer consultation to development teams.Participate in disk layout and disk capacity planning.Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.Manage the set up and monitoring of data replication and the maintenance of standby databases.Perform load testing.Lead complex data migration and consolidation efforts.Lead engineering discussions, managed projects and kept assigned systems at optimal performance. Identify bottle necks and provide solutions.Provide guidance and support to the system administrator on how to manage and resolve system issues. Develop plans and documents such as technical implementation guide and creating as build document for integration of numerous Linux servers running various software packages to newer infrastructure part which is part of the modernization project.
Candidates should be heavy in the OS environments of: Solaris 9, 10, 11, 12 Linux, Red Hat Oracle, and to a lesser degree Windows. Candidates should have an SEC+, a Top Secret, and other current IT Certifications relative to the position (see samples). Degree. Candidates should have a minimum of 9-years' experience, Tier 3 / 4 level of engineering/technical/O&M expertise.


Sample Certifications:Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) 10g and 11g. Security+

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) 12c, 11g, 10g, 9i (Must have 11g at a minimum)  


Clearance Secret with Top Secret preferred

1. Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.

2. Must be able to achieve ITIL Foundation and Security+ (or equivalent) Certification within six months of hire.

3. The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.

Education Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications 8-10 years of related database analysis and/or administration experience.
