Division Fiscal, Academic and Student Services Coordinator
The George Mason University Division of Child, Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) within the College of Education and Human Development seeks a Division Fiscal, Academic and Student Services Coordinator. Responsibilities: The Division Fiscal, Academic and Student Services Coordinator will have primary responsibility managing the day-to-day operations of the division; applying knowledge of fiscal matters, operations, and administrative policies to enhance the coordination of the office; working closely with the division director, faculty, and staff on a wide range of fiscal, grant, and travel coordination; providing academic program support; and engaging in undergraduate and graduate student advising and outreach.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must have a bachelorâ€™s degree (or an equivalent combination of education and work experience), demonstrated professional experience focused on fiscal/administrative tasks; strong organizational, time management, coordination, and interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication capabilities with diverse audiences; the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a flexible and professional manner; proactive problem-solving skills; attention to detail; ability to learn new tasks quickly; and extensive knowledge and experience in key areas associated with fiscal, academic and student services coordination--including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, e-mail, and the Internet.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include: at least two years of professional experience focused on fiscal/administrative tasks; experience working in a higher education environment; and experience with database management, hiring of temporary personnel, the commonwealth of Virginia online procurement system (eVA), travel coordination, post-award processes and procedures, and university systems (i.e., Ellucian Banner, Oracle systems, MicroStrategy, Radius, AppReview, etc.).
