This position is for the newly awarded (March 2017) 5-year contract for Air Vehicle Test and Evaluation Division (AVED) Support Services (AVED-SS) contract. The position is for software development and test of AIR 5.1.6.9 Ballistics & Weapon Employment Data Branch products.

Essential Job Functions:

Support the analysis, design, development, integration, and deployment of 5.1.6.9 products.

Assist in all phases of functional testing, as required.

Collects information to analyze and evaluate.

Performs logical and physical system design and reviews and prepares system documents and specifications.

Conducts technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with system.

Prepares reports, studies and documentation.

Delivers presentations and participates in meetings.

Works on special problem areas; administers complex areas of the network, security analysis and planning.

Requirements Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

BS or BA degree in Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering, Database Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electronics Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.

Candidates who do not meet the degree criteria will be evaluated based on applicable experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

At least one (1) year of experience of Software Development experience with mid-sized client-server systems in systems analysis, software design, software development, database administration and software Test.

Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, and independent verification and validation techniques.

Experience working independently and as part of a team in researching data, developing analytical techniques and methodologies.

Performs tasks with little or no guidance.

Experience with SQLite and XML; procedural and/or object oriented programming languages; and/or MatLab.

Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, C++, C#, and COM.

Additional experience with Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server.

Strong communication and organization.

Proficiency with MS Office including Access, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Experience with software testing, in particular USN Safe Escape software; automated testing; software lifecycle process.

Knowledge of USN & USMC ordnance & aircraft.
