Senior Training Specialist 

Secret Clearance  

Mons, Belgium

 

  1. Designs and develops instructional approaches and/or strategies to meet NATO Special Operations Headquarters (NSHQ) classified and unclassified training requirements.
  1. Conducts analysis of training requirements and media requirements.
  1. Develops appropriate training objectives and test methods and designs instructionally valid training materials.
  1. Ensures integrity of task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans.
  1. Designs and develops computer based training, web-based training, electronic performance support systems and other technology-based learning solutions.
  1. Develops flow diagrams and story boards.
  1. Designs instructionally sound lessons in a variety of delivery media.
  1. Interacts with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content.
  1. Provides recurring Basic Intelligence Systems Core Training (BISCT) to NATO partners.
  1. Provides specialized Intelligence Analyst software tools training to NATO partners.
  1. Provides NSHQ internal applications, standard desktop applications, and newcomers training.
  1. Manages training scheduling, class rosters, attendance and performance metrics/reporting.
  1. Manages the NSHQ classified and unclassified networks training program.
  1. May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced personnel.
  1. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  1. Participates in special projects as required.
  1. Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Secret Clearance.
  1. This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide.
 

The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.

Education
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related discipline.
  1. Master’s Degree preferred.
  1. 5-8 years of related instructional development experience.
  1. 2 or more years experience with military intelligence systems/applications.
Qualifications
  1. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in technology-based training.
  1. Comprehensive knowledge of the use and application of off-the-shelf tools.
  1. Ability to independently develop, maintain, and deliver instructional materials.
  1. Ability to manage an organization-wide training program.
