Hotel Laundry Attendant
Your daily responsibilities include:Receives soiled linen by bag, cart or chute from floors. Sorts all articles; inspects all laundry and linens and records all damaged or stained items. Assists in the removal of soiled linen from vacant guest rooms, as well as from housekeeper carts on the guest floors and brings them to the laundry facility. Receives linen deliveries from outside vendor and verifies quantities received versus quantities sent out. Operates washers and dryers properly according to the recommended capacity and other guidelines. Ensures necessary chemicals are added in the correct quantities at the proper times during the cycles. Folds and stores clean linens and irons table linen by hand if necessary. Assists in completing regular linen and terry inventories. Assists in re-stocking maid carts with fresh linen. Assists in re-stocking maid caddies with supplies. Informs Housekeeping Manager of any malfunctioning equipment. Reports lost and found items to Housekeeping Manager. May be cross-trained to assist with Guest Room Cleaning or Public Area Cleaning. Responds quickly and courteously to guest requests. Follows all company/department policies and procedures, standards. Thoroughly familiar with all related HAZCOM information, MSDS for any chemicals in use, Blood Borne Pathogen prevention and response. Follows all Safety handling procedures and is familiar with Emergency Procedures. Presents a professional image at all times through appearance and behavior. Assists with luggage storage and rooming a guest as requested by Guest Reception. Actively participates in all hotel meetings, training, Task forces, programs, events, etc. And other duties as assigned.To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:Minimum High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent required.
