Associate Employment Law/General Counsel

Key Role:

Work as a member of a team within the firm's Legal Department, providing employment law support to clients across the firm on a market or account-aligned basis. Maintain responsibility for providing management and human resources professionals with business-oriented legal counsel on all aspects of employment advice, including Title VII, the ADA, the FLSA, FMLA, SCA issues and all other federal and state employment laws, internal employment law or EEO investigations, day-to-day employment matters, including noncompete agreements, high-risk performance management issues, and military and medical leaves and accommodations, and counseling the firm on enterprise-wide issues, including regulatory changes and corporate policy and practice implications. Represent the firm before federal and state agencies in agency audits and administrative charges, including preparing position statements and manage outside counsel in employment litigation matters.

Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience with employment law, including working in a corporate legal environment, law firm, or a combination thereof
-Ability to serve as a business partner to corporate leaders and build a consensus on complex employment law and business issues
-JD degree
-Bar Admission in any state or the District of Columbia

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with providing international employment counsel, ERISA counsel, or acquisitions, including due diligence, preferred
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent organizational, interpersonal, client relations, and team skills
