Virginia’s largest nonprofit outdoor event planning and production company, based in Norfolk, Virginia, is seeking an experienced, results oriented, creative, highly motivated, professional to fill a new full-time Communications and Promotions Manager position with Norfolk Festevents, Ltd.    

COMMUNICATIONS AND PROMOTIONS MANAGER

Position requires college degree, 5 years recent professional public relations and communications experience (in the fields of entertainment and special events preferred), 3 current professional references, flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends and holidays, physical ability to perform wide range of physical related production duties and ability to work in an outdoor environment. 

Candidates must possess superior skills in the areas of public relations, innovative promotions, copy writing, internet/social media communications management, social media design work, public speaking, leadership and teambuilding, budget management, and proficient with a range of computer programs and platforms (Microsoft and Apple).  Candidates must have a thorough understanding of the contemporary PR/media and entertainment industry.

The Communications and Promotions Manager will report to the CEO and President for corporate PR matters, and report to the Marketing Director for events and events related matters.
