Facilities Support Officer

Serve as a government representative in facilities external to the Headquarters compound in the WMA, ensuring satisfaction of tenants' requirements. Provide daily technical oversight of the operations and maintenance of their perspective buildings, including the operations and maintenance, custodial services, building system repairs and installations, and specialized tenant facility requirements. Facilitate minor work orders of up to $25,000, ranging from installing a receptacle to minor alterations or renovations. Support the External Facilities Recap Program and serve as essential personnel in the event of an emergency. This position may require standby duty in the event of facility emergencies, including weather-related actions or mission-critical activities.
-5 years of experience in one or more of the following: construction management, building operations and management, project management related to facilities operations, or customer service related to facilities operations
-Experience in electrical distribution systems, uninterruptible power supplies, control systems, chillers, air handling units, building automation systems, and working in a classified environment
-Knowledge of pipe fitting, plumbing, electrical, maintenance, including carpentry, painting, and masonry, and other general trades
-Ability to occasionally work nights and weekends for operational necessities
-Ability to travel to other facilities in WMA
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required
-HS diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in a professional work environment or service in the US Armed Forces with an honorable discharge
-Experience as an effective administrator
-Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and Project software packages
-Ability to effectively use e-mail to communicate
-Ability to be highly motivated to continue to develop professional licenses, certifications, and expertise through formal training and on-the-job experience
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent customer service skills
-Professional Project Manager Certification
