Conduct telephone interviews with proposed insured's to solicit all personal and medical information required to successfully process an application for life insurance. Act as liaison between underwriters, general agents, and proposed insured(s) to facilitate the underwriting process. Perform limited case management duties to obtain all outstanding/open, underwriting/administrative requirements accurately and timely. Knowledge of medical terminology Minimum of two years customer service experience in an administrative field High school diploma or equivalent Excellent time management and communication skills Strong Microsoft Office software and keyboarding skills Ability to work independently Ability to telecommute Home office for telecommuting Supplies required: desk, chair, appropriate lighting DSL connections available Flexibility to work at corporate office as needed. You must be a reasonable commutable distance from corporate office due to the following reasons: Initial training, approximately 8-12 weeksMeetingsUpdating trainingSpecial projects as needed
