Review deficiencies and formulate solutions for implementation. Plan, perform and document results of internal audits and reviews that may be financial, compliance or operational in nature. Recommend improvements to internal controls to ensure/enhance compliance with company policies. Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase effectiveness and/or gain efficiencies. Communicate results of audits and reviews to management and work with management to develop remediation plans. Follow up with management to confirm remediation plans have been completed as scheduled. Participate in ongoing risk assessments. Assist with special projects as requested. Assist Managing Directors, Directors and Senior Managers/Managers with various initiatives related to business development and practice development. Handle multiple work streams within the same or multiple client environments. Review Consultants progress to ensure compliance with audit program and professional standards. Review timelines and budget and ensure compliance with customer needs. What Do You Need to Succeed? Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of experience working with internal controls is required. Experience with the various phases of a leading SOX program, including identifying, documenting and testing controls and evaluating control design and operating effectiveness to enable managements assertion on internal controls is required. Professional services experience and/or specific relevant industry job experience is required. Knowledge of COSO 2013 integrated controls framework and ICFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting). Internal Audit experience, including planning, execution and reporting of audits Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills with the ability to apply professional judgment. Familiarity with process documentation techniques, including both narratives and flowcharts. Ability to identify process risks (what could go wrong), mitigating controls, and design gaps. Familiarity with testing techniques to determine operating effectiveness of key controls. Ability to create, execute, and review test plans Experience presenting results of work efforts to client management. Bachelors degree in Accounting or Accounting related field. Must be flexible for travel. Preferred Qualifications At least one of the following certifications: CPA, CIA, CISA. Working knowledge of audit tools and audit related software.
