Bachelor's Degree 5 years related experience Job Summary: This position is responsible for the daily operations of the marketing and communications functions at Stafford Hospital. The incumbent of this position will support the special event activities of the Stafford Hospital Foundation and work to cultivate new relationships and referrals with physicians, business leaders, community leaders, and potential donors within the Stafford Hospital service area. Job functions include the planning, coordination, and implementation of marketing plans, community outreach, targeted cultivation activities for potential donors, and fundraising events. As part of the Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC) Marketing & Communications department, this Associate works to enhance the Stafford Hospital brand in the primary and secondary service areas. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Implements growth strategies for target markets and facility service lines based on comprehensive marketing plans, in collaboration with facility clinical leaders, MWHC and hospital leadership, and appropriate Medical Staff leadership. Manages, monitors and implements strategic marketing and communications planning for Stafford Hospital in partnership with MWHC marketing and communications planning. Implements integrated marketing communications campaigns, projects and initiatives for Stafford Hospital. Broadens Stafford Hospital awareness through community contacts, events, networking, and other opportunities. Manages Stafford Hospital media relations including social media, media releases and interviews, and media monitoring. Solicits Stafford Hospital medical staff and the local business communities to support the fundraising activities of the Stafford Hospital Foundation in achieving its annual fundraising goals and those of any other assigned special event fundraisers. Develops and achieves annual Stafford Hospital Foundation donor cultivation goals and objectives, including the creation of donor cultivation opportunities for the Foundation's leadership and Board of Trustees, in collaboration with Stafford Hospital Foundation leadership. Provides marketing, communication, and logistical support for the special event fundraising activities of Stafford Hospital Foundation in conjunction with Foundation staff and leadership. Prepares and presents executive reports. Supports the Physician Liaison team by ensuring that internal obstacles to business growth and retention are identified and minimized or eliminated. Participates in meetings, events, and networking as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required. A minimum of five years of marketing and communications experience required. Requires the ability to travel by automobile in the service area on a regular basis. Frequently required to work early morning, evening and occasional weekend hours. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point required. Effective interpersonal, writing, and communication skills necessary. Data analysis experience is required. Detail oriented with successful project management abilities required. Health care information systems experience preferred. Fundraising and event planning experience preferred.
