Responsibilities

 

Provide specialized expertise within multiple IT systems such as: Windows 2008 R2/2012, Exchange Server 2013, VMWare 6+ as well as general knowledge of related disciplines. This would include performing installation, administration, troubleshooting and support of server operating systems/services, storage, and Data Center solutions.  Oversee the implementation of system specifications; integration, testing, and documentation are a key part of the role.  Exhibit strong technical skills as they relate to numerous systems and storage technologies including but not limited to: Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Exchange Server 2010/2013/2016, Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014, DFS, AD, DHCP, IIS, VMware vSphere 6.5, ESXi 6.5, Cisco UCS/Nexus, Infoblox, SCCM, Hyper-V. Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support. Provide operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning and hardware upgrades.

 

    Core Systems: Windows Server, VMware, Cisco UCS/Nexus Competent to work at a high technical level on all phases of information systems operations Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers with less experience Must be able to effectively conduct and interpret tests, and troubleshoot solutions of highly complex operational problems Review the work of others and be able to detect errors or needed modificationsBrief customer on problems and solutions
 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

    Must have 7-9 years working in a Windows Environment (Windows Server 2008/2012 R2, SharePoint, Exchange, etc.) Good communications skills; organized, shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through
 

Security Requirements

 

    Must have a Top Secret-SCI security clearance
 

 

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

Qualifications 8-10 years of related systems engineering experience.
