Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.



    Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.

    Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.

    Sets up administrator and service accounts.

    Maintains system documentation, rack elevation drawings, and Logical Block diagrams.

    Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.

    Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.

    Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

    May program in an administrative language.

    Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.

    Provides advice and training to end-users.

    Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

    Participates in special projects as required.

    On-Site Troubleshooting of infrastructure, router, switches, servers, file storage, and workstations for Primary and Remote site locations

    Ensure Information Assurance Compliance Measures are met for all unclassified and classified networks

    Support Asset management efforts for primary site location

    In-processing & Out-processing users for the S6 (Account paperwork, establish accounts & passwords, etc.) for all Military, Government and Contractors

    Developing & Implementing IT related solutions to meet Mission requirements

    Creating/Maintaining SOP Continuity guides

    Provides Weekly and Monthly status updates/reports


Additionally, the candidate will provide the following support:


Tier 1 Support: Answering phone calls, emails, and walk-in requests for IT Support. Creating customer support requests for company level users. Initial troubleshooting of computer conflicts. IT subject matter expert and first responder responsibilities

Tier 2 Support: Physically responding to Tier 1&2 requests. Performing service desk functions. Troubleshooting takes place at the workstation as well as backend infrastructure. On site & remote troubleshooting. Software installation for workstations and servers. Account Management. Network Monitoring. Performing information assurance compliance measures.

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.


Position requires a Security+ ce for the baseline certification to meet 8570 requirements.


Additionally, the candidate must have one of the following certifications:


410 - Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012

411 - Administering Windows Server 2012

412 - Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services


If candidate has a Server 2008 or Server+ ce it will be accepted, but the candidate will be required to update their certification within 60 days of hire date to one of the three listed above to meet IAT Level II requirements as outlined within the current contract.


Understanding of Networks is a plus
