Shift Circuit Engineer Help Desk Agent/Crypto
24/7 Technical Control Facility Monitoring and Response Team member, Responsible for detecting, reporting and providing tier 2 & 3 level initial response and repair to Pentagon Transport layer circuits. Installs, Operates and Maintains DISA and commercial circuits and Crypto equipment Knowledge and experience in interpreting engineering circuit layout diagrams. Knowledge and experience in digital and analogue circuit design and implementation. Experience in the analysis testing and troubleshooting circuits. Knowledge of IP and optical network operation. Experience with help desk support and operation. Must be knowledgeable of equipment to include transport systems (ATM, SONET, and TDM), timing and sync, circuit test and analysis, electrical/physical interfaces, crypto, and circuit signaling Must be knowledgeable of Promina and IDNX operating, provisioning and installation. Utilization of monitoring tools to provide both reactive and proactive support for the clients network and systems infrastructure. Knowledge of industry accepted standards and best practices related to Information Management Operations and with ITSM best practices. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. 3-5 years of related hardware engineering experience. Certifications: DOD 8570.1-M IAT-II (required), ITIL V3 Foundation (preferred) Experienced operating and maintain fill devices including DTDs, SKLs, KYK-13s, KYK-15s, KOI-18s. Operated and maintained encryption devices such as KIV-7/7Ms, Fastlanes, Taclanes, Key Generators, and STE equipment. Candidate selected must currently possess a Top Secret/SCI security clearance. Demonstrated experience in a DOD Information Technology environment Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline. Qualifications 2-5 years of related hardware engineering experience.
