Infrastructure Operations Inside Plant Manager
Job Description: Responsible for managing all aspects of Infrastructure Operations in a fast paced and highly complexed environment. Responsible for managing the ISP Plant cable infrastructure to include conduit, cable trays, copper, coax, fiber and all associated elements in the Pentagon, Mark Center, & buildings within the NCR supported by JSP. Must follow JSP and commercial best practice procedures, standards and/or provide Engineering Installation Plans (EIPs) required for installation of cable racks, wiring of the racks and testing required during installation. O&M Responsible for performing 24/7/365 break-fix on all Inside Plant cable infrastructure under JSP purview. Serve as direct contractor support to ISP Customer Leadership. Ensures Move, Add, and Change activities are completed in accordance with BICSI or Industry Best Practice standards.Manages a team of approximately 20 employees.Ensure all pertinent records are updated and maintained in the Organizations Database (Planet IRM).Ensure equipment, cables, patch bays, or other circuit access points are labeled appropriately.Responsible for deploying labor resources efficiently to accommodate large, on-going, & continuous work load.Prepares and presents high level impact briefings to the Customer.Works in concert with other Infrastructure Operations sections to deliver layer 1-2 Transport. Requirements:5 - 8 years’ experience managing 10 or more personnelITSM, ITIL exposure. Desired Skills:DOD 8570.1-M IAT-II, (CompTIA Security+ CE at a minimum)Must have some exposure to rules, regulations, and standards prescribed in DISA circulars.Solid Customer Support Skills in a high visibility environment. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and initiatives concurrentlyISP RCDD certification desired Key Competencies: Communication skills - verbal and written Problem analysis and problem solving Ability to manage two teams with expertise in 2 distinct disciplines Ability to multitask in a stressful environment Education Bachelors Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. Qualifications 5-8 years of related experience, including supervisory experience.
