Biostatistician 2, Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center - Georgetown University Medical Center

Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC) clinicians are dedicated to providing the best professional care, delivered with compassion, for all patients.  Lombardi's internationally-renowned physicians treat virtually every type of cancer, including breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, head and neck, and cancers of the blood.  Along with cutting-edge cancer care, we offer a program of innovative clinical trials and a full range of supportive care services to improve our patients' health and quality of life.

The Biostatistician 2 performs not only traditional database and statistical analyses, but also simulation model development involving different programming languages.  Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Biostatistician 2 has duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Performs statistical analyses, involving a wide variety of methodologies, and using and combining large data sets.
  • Develops models in Excel, Visual Basic, and Microsimulation.
  • Writes reports and papers, and drafts results and methods sections of paper and reports, as well as publications of papers.
  • Attends conferences to assist in the presentation of material and meetings - for example, American Legacy Foundation/Truth Initiative; and as needed, stands in for the Principal Investigator at meetings.
  • Supervises new employees.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Biostatistics
  • Ability to supervise employees
