AEIO is seeking Senior Classification Specialists to support our Federal Client located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.  These are full time positions that require expert Classification knowledge and skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to perform work independently with minimal oversight.  AEIO is offering a competitive compensation package, flexible work schedules, teleworking opportunities and a rewarding work experience. Duties and responsibilities include:
Classify the full range of supervisory, non-supervisory, interdisciplinary, and mixed series positions utilizing the OPM Position Classification Standards. Write position descriptions (PDs)  and evaluation statements; Conduct desk audits and paper reviews; determine the correct FLSA, Cybersecurity and BUS codes;  Provide advice and guidance to management officials on PD development, position management and reorganizations.  Conduct position management, classification studies and surveys following established procedures;  Interpret and explain classification criteria, and prepare and/or present advisory opinions on the classification of positions as required.
Manage and execute classification related special projects to implement Legislative, OPM or Department driven initiatives and mandates. Develops recommendations, strategic approaches and project plans to address project issues and requirements.  Develop communications plans and a variety of communications mediums to effectively communicate and socialize issues and requirements.  Developing standard operating procedures and guidance materials as needed. Developing training materials and PowerPoint presentations to convey pertinent information related to reorganizations, position management, position sensitivity codes, and Fair Labor Standard Act regulations, Cybersecurity coding and Bargaining Unit code issues as required.
Provide expert classification and position management advice and guidance to OHR Leadership, Staff and Program Officials to resolve complex human resources and management issues and problems that typically require analyzing and/or troubleshooting a wide range of conditions.  Provide technical advice to agency officials to identify organizational long- and short-range personnel needs, organizational structures to meet management needs, and to assist in solving problems dealing with morale, turnover, job dilution or expansion. Advise agency officials on the planning and implementing of reorganizations (including organization structures, classification changes, position/employee impact and related actions to assure regulatory compliance prior to implementing new structures).

Qualification Requirements 
Expert knowledge and operational experience classifying supervisory, non-supervisory, interdisciplinary, and mixed series positions utilizing the OPM Position Classification Standards in a Federal work environment.  Must possess excellent writing and oral communication skills. Must be capable of working independently, as a team member or as a team lead.  Applicants must have 7 years of federal classification experience. A college degree is preferred.
