Job Summary/Company:
Sparks Group’s Business Development Team is looking for confident, coachable and driven individuals to assist in the company’s continuing growth.  Business Development Coordinators will embark in on-the-job training which will allow for career development into a Business Development Manager role.  This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate or someone with a few years of sales experience.  In this role, you will determine your success and control your earning potential with our performance-based incentives (on top of a base salary and great benefits). Responsibilities of the Business Development Coordinator:

  • Use social media, your network and our Client Relationship Manager (CRM) system to acquire, maintain and increase staffing business within the greater DC area
  • Generate leads using cold calling, candidate references, staff referrals and market research
  • Increase opportunities and deepen client relationships through networking at events, entertainment, social outings, client appreciation events, etc.
  • Update the CRM with all necessary sales tracking information
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that articulate the Sparks Group value proposition and build credibility
  • Work with the Business Development Director and Sr. Business Development Managers to develop territory and account plans that include definition, strategy, targeted contacts, competitive intelligence, trends and goals

Qualifications:

  • 6 months – 3 years of business development, sales, customer service or marketing support experience
  • College degree in business, marketing or communication is a plus
  • Previous experience working in a professional corporate environment
  • Self-managed and motivated with desire for success
  • Ability to partner with senior leadership and operations team
  • Strong communication skills both over the phone and in-person
  • Ability to work in a fast pace, matrixed and client focused environment
  • A learning mentality that pairs with desire for internal career growth
  • Outstanding customer/client service skills

Location: Sparks Group has multiple office locations in the DC Metro Area

Compensation: Salary ranging from $40-50K and will be based on qualifications
