Oversee site operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that work is done safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards.

Responsible for preparing site prior to the commencement of construction project. This includes setting out the site and organizing activities. Site Manager is on hand throughout the build to assess progress and solve problems that arise.

Onsite liaison with customer and a variety of professionals.

Supervising contracted staff and meeting with sub-contractors.

Reporting progress to the Project Management Office, customer and Government via phone calls, written reports and presentations.

Ability to solve problems.

Checking and preparing site reports, drawings and designs.

Conducting QA/QC and safety inspections on a daily/weekly basis and ensuring site procedures uphold construction and site regulations.

Education Bachelor's Degree in Telecomm Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of training; certifications; work and/or military experience.

  Qualifications In-depth knowledge of Commercial Standards; Telcordia (formally Bellcore); RUS; BICSI; and military specifications applicable to the contract. Experience with US Air Force and/or Army telecomm and data networks is a plus.

 

Must be able to identify out of life cycle network equipment and upgrade the outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) fiber optic cable infrastructure.

 

Design an inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) distribution infrastructure to meet current industry standards. Develop a statement of work (SOW) for the construction of outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) infrastructures. Develop a list of material (LOM) for the outside plant; inside plant infrastructure and networking equipment.

 

Develop and maintain schedules to meet critical timelines for the installation and migration of the new networking equipment to the base network infrastructure with minimal downtime and service interruptions.

 

Provide QA/QC and maintain the red line drawings for the overall installation of the inside plant (ISP) infrastructure.

 

3-5 years of prior site management on military bases and related network engineering and installation experience a must.

 

Proficient in MS Word; Excel; and Visio software.
