Senior Director of Health Services
Position Description: This role will grant you oversight and management of a multi-specialty health center. You are not just focused on primary care; you will get to work in a general dentistry, psychiatry, optometry and podiatry environment. In addition, you will make clinical, regulatory, and operational decisions to deliver quality care. You will be rewarded when you successfully manage multiple external stakeholders’ i.e. the Department of Health and other regulatory centers.
Expected contributions include but are not limited to:
- Clinical Management: Manage the clinical, professional, administrative, and clerical staff; overseeing day-to-day operations developing and implementing policies and directives that ensures quality of care.
- Program Management: Provides subject matter expertise to complete medical documentation, billing and coding reviews. Provides training to staff. Ensure billing takes place for services provided Develop and maintain cost-effective/cost-containment approaches in the overall operations of medical and dental clinics. Write grant proposals to increase funding streams. Develop and provide ongoing reporting on quality of care. Act as primary liaison with external agencies/entities, including but not limited to: DCPCA, DOH, medical/nursing university programs, hospitals, and community health centers. Identify pertinent healthcare providers and develop relationships to improve coordination of care.
- Supervisory: Provides supervision to a Nurse Care Manager, Medical Director, Front Desk Manager and Director of Dental Health Services and other clinical staff.
