Job Responsibilities - Primary responsibilities include engineering, installing and troubleshooting data and telecommunications network infrastructure for clients customers. Additional requirements include creating and updating network documentation, network assessments and reporting results. This position will work closely with other members of the clients internetworking team to support the overall mission of the company and its' strategic business initiatives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    Design and install Cisco, Juniper, and Nortel devices (AS5300,CS2100, VOIP, Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)Design and install Nortel Call Manager, Unity, and associated Voice Applications.IP Telephony systems administration, configuration, and implementationDesign /maintain documentation related to network layoutEnsure that requirements for high availability are in place for the Cisco environment

    Monitor, maintain and administer the health of the corporate wide network infrastructureMaintain and administer network infrastructure standards, documentation and fault toleranceMonitoring, managing, and troubleshooting • Monitor and troubleshooting Call Center System (ACD)Proficient in administering VoIPDocument logical and physical network design changesSwitching protocols Spanning Tree, VTP, port groupingLayer networking (MPLS, etc)Follow ITIL based process and procedures and escalate for technical assistanceAdvise and make recommendations to management concerning infrastructure and related LAN issuesValidate and coordinate all scheduled maintenance on Transport SystemsUnderstand client's operational and sustainment methodologies and processesFamiliarity with current ITA NOC operationsGain familiarity with the client's current data center infrastructureWork with ITA and GDIT SDMs to ensure "other" services are available on time

Training Required: Security+ and NetPlus or equivalent CE


Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications 5-8 years of directly related experience in network administration and support.
