The American Society of Hematology (ASH), a Washington, DC-based association of physicians and scientists committed to promoting blood disease research and education, seeks a motivated, detail-oriented Education Coordinator to assist the Education Programs and CME Manager in all aspects of the development and delivery of ASH’s education programs and related projects.  The position will also provide administrative support related to the Society’s education portfolio consisting of the annual meeting, several small domestic and international meetings, digital education, a number of education publications related to CME activities, and committee support.

The position will support the Society’s online and distance education platforms, working with other ASH staff who have responsibility for the content of the products hosted on these platforms.

A bachelor’s degree in business management or other related field is required. The position requires at least three years of experience with programmatic administrative support, detail-orientation with excellent organizational and follow-through skills, and experience and proficiency in the use of databases (knowledge of Confex/Personify database preferred). This role also requires excellent oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, strong customer service orientation, and a strong ability to manage confidential information.  Prior experience in a nonprofit environment is preferred.
