GDIT is looking for a Principal HR Business Partner to lead and manage the workplace accommodation process in our contact center operations. Responsibilities include reviewing and assigning new accommodation requests to HR staff, partnering with HR staff to ensure accommodation requests are thoroughly reviewed and accommodations are implemented. The HR Business Partner also identifies the need for, develops, and conducts training; and provides guidance and work leadership to HR staff members, as well as provides supervisory support.

 

 

Candidates should have 8-10 years of related human resources experience; thorough knowledge of ADAAA and experience with the interactive process. Strong interviewing, analytic and critical thinking skills.  Candidates must also maintain current knowledge of related leave and ADAAA laws and record-keeping requirements.

 

The Principal HR Business Partner will handle responsibilities including but not limited to the following:

    Work with clients to plan; organize; direct; implement and evaluate/measure the HR initiatives as outlined in the overall HCSD HR StrategyServes as the HR Subject Matter Expert regarding ADAAA and Workplace Accommodations. Acts as a point of contact and advisor to assigned team regarding the implementation of ADAAA and the Workplace Accommodation process. This includes the interactive process, identifying action plans, making timely decisions, and executing accommodation requests.Assigns and tracks Workplace Accommodation requests.Proactively assess risk to business and provides guidance to customers; Uses sound judgement to promptly escalate potential concerns.Provides support and guidance of the work of assigned human resources staff.Performs quality reviews to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.Works closely with senior leaders and managers to provide expertise and hands on support.       This includes reporting, identifying trends, problems, and issues regarding ADAAA. Provides guidance to line management regarding accommodations and the leave processCoach Managers and supervisors in best practices and employee engagement to effectively manage the employee leave process.Identifies need for, develops, and conducts training; and provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced HR staff members, line Managers and Supervisors
Education 1. Bachelors Degree in a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.

 2. Professional Certification (PHR, SPHR) preferred.

Qualifications  

 

*8-10 years of related human resources experience.

*Demonstrated knowledge of ADAAA and workplace accommodation process

*Demonstrated experience in the interactive process

*Demonstrated communication skills with different employee levels, to include hourly employees, frontline supervisors, program management and division leadership.

*Strong interviewing, analysis and critical thinking skills required.

 *Leadership experience preferred, but not required.
