National telecom trade association seeks an individual responsible for day-to-day and monthly financial accounting for various benefit trust plans offered to its members. Responsibilities include preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, budgeting and annual audit functions. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.
Successful candidate should have a 4-year degree in accounting and 0-1 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be in independent worker and self-starter who possesses an understanding of GAAP, benefit plan accounting and regulations, and investments. The position also requires advanced excel knowledge, a general understanding of a financial management system, strong interpersonal and oral & written communication skills. A CPA candidate is preferred.
