Senior Systems Administrator

  • You’ll be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing, integrating, and testing the infrastructure for the team, as well as helping to ensure that all software is operations-ready. You will report directly to the Chief Software Architect and will provide expertise across multiple product development teams.  You’ll be part of the concepts and strategy development process as well. You will be given the opportunity to create new intellectual property and patentable technology.
  • Qualifications:
    • 10+ years of experience in systems and/or network engineering
    • Demonstrated experience architecting and implementing systems and networks for software development teams
    • Demonstrated experience working on an Agile team
    • Experience with operating systems and network technologies, with strengths in one or more of these areas:
      • Heterogeneous environments consisting of Windows and Linux resources
      • Virtual machine environments (VMWare, Openstack, Hyper-V, or similar)
      • Network technologies (e.g. Cisco, Juniper)
      • Authentication and Authorization technologies (e.g. Active Directory, LDAP, OAuth, certificate management)
      • Shell scripting (e.g. Bash, PowerShell)
      • Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Vagrant
      • Desired: Experience in Continuous Delivery
      • Desired: Hybrid and commercial cloud environments (e.g. Amazon AWS, Azure)
    • Desired: Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field from an accredited college
    • Desired: Networking and security accreditations
    • Desired: Experience building systems that support border security, counterterrorism or similar law enforcement domains
