Responds to crisis or urgent situations within the pertinent domain to mitigate immediate and potential threats.  Uses mitigation, preparedness, and response and recovery approaches, as needed, to maximize survival of life, preservation of property, and information security. 


  • Coordinate response action to identified threats and incidents;
  • Analyze operational anomalies, network behavior, and perform mitigation actions derived from cyber threat monitoring and anomaly analysis, and actively monitor the   Department’s network for cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities Intrusion Analysis and Reporting;
  • Incident Response Team Dispatch;

  • Level III IDS/IPS Ticket Response;

  • Incident Investigation Procedures Maintenance;

  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technical staff members;
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assignee;

Education Bachelors Degree (Required) or Masters Degree (Preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Security.

Qualifications 5-8 years of related experience in a professional or management capacity with a knowledge of regulatory requirements and the Incident Management Bulletin.
