Provide rigorous instruction in core subjects daily

Participate in curriculum development aligned to the Common Core Standards

Assess and track student performance on daily, weekly, and interim bases

Analyze and use assessment data to refine curriculum and instructional practice

Monitor and sustain a disciplined school culture of high academic and behavioral standards

Assume responsibility for the academic progress of all students

Demonstrate continued mastery of content areas

Lead students to high levels of academic success through rigorous, targeted, and differentiated instruction

Design and deliver engaging instruction addressing a full range of student needs and learning styles

Utilize literacy strategies across all content areas

Develop formal and informal assessments to measure student mastery

Use data to drive instruction

Hold students accountable to high academic and behavioral expectations

Align practices and routines to an achievement-oriented classroom culture

Foster a safe environment that encourages curiosity, academic risk taking, accountability, and collaboration

Commitment to providing a world-class education to students from historically underserved communities

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required. 

2+ year’s urban teaching experience leading significant academic gains for students strongly preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
