Summary Manages established CAD department staff through daily management, supervision, and successful turnover of the projects to meet cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, estimating and bidding. Description Applies Computer Aided Design (CAD) software engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems. Assesses architecture and hardware limitations, plans technical projects in the design and development of CAD software. Defines and selects new approaches and implementation of CAD software engineering applications and design specifications and parameters. Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Participates in special projects as required. Experience managing and providing guidance and leadership to less experienced drafters. Manage all CAD Drawing files and coordinate plan production. Manage workload of CAD Department. Develop/implement/train CAD standards and procedures to drafting team. Skills and abilities:Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills along with being organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated. Education Requires a Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline or equalivent work experience. Qualifications 2-5 years of related experience.
