Performs expert-level development and delivery of highly complex training and educational programs for customer personnel; works under limited supervision; performs additional duties as assigned.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Multi-functional full spectrum senior military analyst performing a variety of operational, analytical, planning, and related tasks with duties concentrated in the areas of constructive and live training support for combat, combat support, and combat service support military units. Serves as advisor to commanders and their staffs in preparation for and during the conduct of training. Responsible for planning, development, and execution of training activities to include system instruction, scheduling, development of databases, exercise scenarios, workstation player/controller training, exercise execution, and participation in After Action Reviews. Responsible for the accurate portrayal of BLUFOR and OPFOR organizational and operational activities during all exercises. Reviews and updates database requirements for accuracy, and compliance with applicable doctrine. Emphasis on individual and collective training and application of the operational art in the Army Mission Command Systems (AMCS).

Develops, organizes, and conducts training and educational programs for customer personnel.



    Coordinates the development and delivery of complex training programs and related materials in support of customer training objectives.

    Establishes and reviews course content and objectives.

    Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.

    Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.

    Updates course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance.

    Provides work leadership to lower level employees, including evaluating the effectiveness of their training presentations and programs, and may have supervisory responsibilities.

    May serve as technical team or task lead.

    Conducts research into new training, educational, and multimedia technologies.

    Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

    Participates in special projects as required.
Education   Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university required, Master's Degree preferred. Graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College (MEL-4) or equivalent.


Qualifications GDIT requires 8-10 years of experience.


Typically requires 8 or more years of directly related Army experience. a minimum of 5 years of experience in command and/or staff at battalion or higher levels; 2 years must be specialized in the delivery of training instruction and services.

Current operational experience preferred to include joint experience. Current experience with AMCS and non-AMCS operational digital systems preferred. 8 - 10 years of directly related experience in the development and delivery of technical training programs.


Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision and to perform shift work required. Job is contingent upon successfully obtaining/transferring and maintaining an Interim and/or secret clearance. Lifting, bending and climbing as required to support military exercises and training. Must be able to travel on TDY periodically to and from Fairbanks / Ft. Wainwright and other areas in support of military training and exercises.
