System Administrator / Security Analyst
Administer servers and systems for the purpose of monitoring and supporting Information Assurance (IA) policy and guidance using the implementation of IA technologies. Performs or reviews technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability or non-compliance with established IA standards and regulations and recommends mitigation strategies. Assesses and mitigates system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle. Validate system security requirements definitions and analysis tools. Establishes system security design and verifies security requirements. Assists in the review, certification, and accreditation of IA documentation to ensure that it is compliant with Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards. Assists in the development of procedures to generate and maintain required documentation to include the System Security Authorization Agreement (SSAA) and tracking methods. Assist in the development of security related plans such as emergency response plans, crime prevention programs, and force protection and anti-terrorism programs as they relate to IA. Coordinates with Simulation Lead to implement and maintain IA and system security for the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability-Entity Resolution Federation (JLCCTC-ERF) suite. Coordinates with the C4ISR engineer and other system administrators to maintain IA and security compliance for the Tactical Mission Command (TMC) server stack and associated Army Mission Command Systems (MCS). Develop cross-platform capabilities for all MCS to better utilize hardware on hand. Assists in the setup and tear down for the reconfigurable systems which support various MTC training scenarios. Trains team as needed for installing the various systems. Analyze facility shortcomings and recommend corrective actions including air conditioning systems, uninterruptible power supplies, network cabling, power distribution, security requirements, and lighting. Assist in the creation and maintenance of startup checklists and troubleshooting flowcharts. Maintain the electronic technical library. Ensures IT systems meet local and national standards. Install infrastructure to support training in newly designated areas.
