This role supports the Human Resources function across the Health and Civilian Solution Division, performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks on the phone, via email and web chat. Candidate must be professional and pleasant with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

 

  • Develops proficiency in policy and procedure interpretation and responds appropriately to customer inquiries.
  • Research appropriate solutions and work with necessary parties, such as Human Resources, Shared Services and Payroll to resolve issues.
  • Develops supportive relationship with functional areas across the company and other HR team members in order to support the employees.
  • Adhere to Privacy Act as it relates to confidentiality of information reviewed.
  • Maintains record of customer responses consistent with requirements.
  • Performs clerical tasks such as copying, faxing, filing, word processing, and data entry.
  • In order to meet department deadlines and service commitments, creates and maintains accurate employee records using the Human Resources databases (Recruiting and PeopleSoft).
  • Assists with miscellaneous departmental duties.
  • Work overtime is required during ramp up periods.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
Education
  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of related administrative experience.
  • Minimum of one year related Human Resource experience required.
  • Data entry experience required.
  • Minimum of one year Customer Service high volume experience preferred.
  • Experience or capability to learn multiple applications including PeopleSoft, Recruiting database, and Oracle Time keeping.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Requires computer skills using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
  • Requires independent judgment, good organizational, multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work successfully both in a team environment and independently.
