Mortgage Disclosure Specialist
Handles all re-disclosures as they arise and are brought to the Disclosure Specialist’s attention by Consultant, Processor, and Rate Lock Specialist
Validates if a change of circumstance exists and requires re-disclosure
Process and send updated disclosures to the member within 24 hours of request being received
Answer general questions from origination staff and managers regarding pricing policies
Review reports to ensure any loans requiring re-disclosure are not missed based on the data available
- Bring to the immediate attention of the Supervisor/Manager any loans that are out of compliance for re- disclosure Ensures exceptional service by maintaining thorough knowledge of RESPA policies, procedures and regulatory requirements and demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics. Remains current on all mortgage related regulations and changes.
- Ensures compliance with all PenFed’s policies and procedures and compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and ordinances. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties.
Education and ExperienceEquivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
Associates degree or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions.
- Two years related work experience, preferably in mortgage lending and strong customer service background required.
- Strong oral and written communications skills required. Attention to detail required. Note: If an employee is in a bilingual position, their responsibilities will cover both English and Spanish speaking assignments related to the job duties listed in this job description. They must also speak fluent Spanish and may be required to pass a Spanish language proficiency test.
This position will not supervise employees.
There are no additional certifications required.
